"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me" (John 5:39)
The Scriptures are those that bear witness of Jesus Christ, this truth is affirmed in other places:
Luke 24:27 — Jesus explains that all the Scriptures speak of Him.
Luke 24:44 — Jesus affirms that the Law, the Prophets, and the Psalms speak of Him.
John 1:45 — Philip declares that Moses and the prophets wrote about Jesus.
Acts 10:43 — "To him give all the prophets witness."
The testimony they give concerning the identity of Christ is clear and comprehensive. In this study we will be examining what the Scriptures say about Jesus Christ.

Matthew 26:63-64. "But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
Matthew 11:25-27. "At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth... All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father, neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him."
Matthew 3:16-17 "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

"The LORD possessed me at the beginning of his work, the first of his acts of old, before his works. Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth. Before the deep I was brought forth; before the springs of the many waters. Before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth; before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world. When he established the heavens, I was there; when he drew a circle on the face of the deep; when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep; when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command; when he marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside him, like a master workman, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always. When he established the heavens, I was there; when he drew a circle on the face of the deep; when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep; when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command; when he marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside him, like a master workman, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always."
